From Port Isabel, Texas comes the debut release titled "Delta Tales" from singer/songwriter/musician John Blangero, who goes by the artistic name, Sun King Rising.

His new ten-song release finds him taking on every musical genre imaginable. He begins with the southern-sounding jazz/funk groove of "The Snake" and the rock and roll epic "Milkweed And Thistle," which seems to draw inspiration from early Elton John music. Next, Sun King Rising travels to the country side for ballad "Down The Delta Road," then delivers the slow blues, Leon Russell-style of "Take It Down," before finding the soulful shuffle of "Love Turn Grey." He wraps up his new album with the contemporary pop vocals of "Drive Me To Nashville" and return to rock out on the inspirational, gospel-like rendition of "Let There Be Light."
